Review by hotel critic
I recently spent four nights in a charming boutique hotel located right by the river in Porto, and I wanted to share my experience. The location was ideal for exploring the city's heritage, situated conveniently in the heart of the Centro/Baixa area. I enjoyed easy walks to numerous cafes and attractions, making it a great base for sightseeing. I stayed in a 'Superior Room with River View,' and the views were indeed captivating-picture yourself looking out from a boat, surrounded by water. The room was well-kept and equipped with the necessities for a comfortable stay. It was enjoyable to relax with coffee or a complimentary beer while gazing at the river, especially on those cloudy days. The hotel staff were attentive, always ready to assist, from helping with an early morning flight to recommending tours in the stunning Douro Valley. It was evident that they genuinely cared about making our stay enjoyable. The blend of traditional and modern elements created a welcoming atmosphere, making my visit to Porto memorable.
